With that said I cannot keep this hidden gem to itself. The developers and publishers aught to be applauded for their pricing and respect they pay to their fans when this game released. This is a massive standalone/expansion I've seen in years. The quality is top notch, the updated UI is so much cleaner. The graphics are so crisp, it runs beautifully and very well optimized. The voice acting is damn good, The lore bleeds throughout the game, its just a masterclass in RPG / Strategy mix that you won't get anywhere else. I applaud you Grimlore Games, this game is fantastic and I hope you get the sales and respect you deserve.. I want to write a positive review since the gameplay is really nice and I really like Spellforce 3 story. But holy cow, game keep crashing every 2 hours. When I close the game and reopen it the game screen is black. So I have to restart the PC and redo the whole mission again. My PC run the game fine, even with ultra quality the game still run smoothly but it cant stop the game from crashing. It seems you need to save file every 10 minutes before doing the next quest.. So much improvement from the last game. I am extremely happy now.. I didn't like the last release in the series but did the first ones. I had hopes this release would be something that the devs learned from mistakes. I've only played this for 11 hour or so far. However I have played both single player and multiplayer. Honestly with myself and 3 companions in solo play, all the skills are too much to handle without the ability to pause to have time to put some commands out. multiplayer; however with two people, it's nice... each person can control 2 characters each . I would put a thumbs down on the fact that solo play and juggling is way too much for one set of hands to do at once without the ability to pause, but I can't .. I really love the game and the story and voice is awesome. they did amazing work on the voice overs, the story, etc. I'm really happy with the game so far.. I don't normally write reviews, Mainly because there is barely any games lately worth writing a review from. BUT THIS GAME, GUYS! It hit all the points of RPG mixed with RTS and they gave us an amazing story and the ability to make our character. Granted there isn't many customization options but still creating a character was what was missing from the first one as well as how easy it is to buy the schematics for all the races. It's beautiful to be able to get them all from a merchant rather than having to scour every little piece of each level to ensure you find each one and to have some you didn't have pop up at the very end of the game like in SP3 that you couldn't even use. Picking two classes to have to level together is just as amazing as well. This game i hope has some more story and features added on to it cause it's absolutely wonderful. I've been a spellforce fan for a very long time and was kind of sad about SP3 but they def had a major come back with this one. Is there a few bugs? Yes. but nothing that they won't fix i'm sure. Plus they added modding options which is great too. They did everything right with this game! I've boasted about it on every channel of social media i have because it's so wonderful.The current cons to this game is that some of the quest rewards aren't really worth it. Customization doesn't have many options. It would be nice to have some battlemage armors that don't make you look like a brick and give me some amazing wands that look as cool as the wintermage one! lol. It's just a great game and so worth the buy.To the company THANK YOU so much for the loyalty price. I can't thank you enough for that. I felt ripped off with SP3 but you def made a come back!. Pretty good, much fewer bugs on launch than expected, and your heroes dont become that much demigods by the end. The UI for hero abilities have been overhauled which is a little jarring to begin with.The skill trees have likewise been overhauled and have more depth.The druid skill tree actually have an viable option for feral druids.The team clearly had time to finish the end of the game, and there are no significant level design quality drop towards the end.The main character personal mystery did not grab me, felt weird, forced and out of character.Not enough true dragons( dragons that matter for the plot or have an agenda).Fewer interesting characters than spellforce 3.. A proper sequel/standaloneit reworks each faction a tad, and streamlined the units and made each more uniqueSkill balancing was reworked too, its more balanced now, (i still miss my necromancer archer though)the campaign is great too and they're even planning on releasing the original campaign againonly two downsides exist- minor bugs are present - some units were removed, (humans lost the militias and the halberds)Overall a good game, highly recommended. This makes Spellforce 3 more complete... the new races are great!. much better than SpellForce 3 in all aspects , Soul Harvest is great RTS game, well done Grimlore Games you made a fantastic game..
